Antique Dutch Bronze Signal Cannon with Wooden Carriage, c. 1800, Maker's Mark: J.M.
This is a lovely piece of history and a very decorative object. 
The barrel dates from around 1800, while the cannon carriage likely originates from the 19th or early 20th century.
In my opinion, the knob has been restored, but it aligns well with the period. However, please judge for yourself.
Condition:
There are numerous small dings and bruises. Inside the muzzle, there appears to be a small crack, but under a magnifying glass, it seems more like a deeper scratch or a regular sign of use.
The cannon bears at least four maker marks J.M.
