Antique Large Ottoman with Carved Walnut on Cabriole Legs and Needlework by Lady Byron
When purchasing a larger group of furniture from an auction house, a close inspection revealed an old label on this ottoman with a handwritten note: "The needlework on this stool was worked either by Lady Byron (the poet's wife) or his daughter, Lady Lovelace."
In my opinion, I would exclude all of Lord Byron's children; this table was likely made between 1810 and 1830.
I do not have the time nor the means to confirm this information, so we leave it to your judgement.
It is in good condition with a strong construction, apart from some localised old worm holes. The upholstery is slightly faded and discoloured.
