Sterling silver hammered box for razor by Levi and Salaman, 1910, with initials H.G.T.
Quality Edwardian hammered sterling silver box custom-made by the well-known silversmiths Levi & Salaman. The box features a hinged lid and is inscribed with the initials H.G.T. It is hallmarked for 1910, with the lion, anchor, and letter L indicating its origin.
The box is in excellent condition. It can be easily converted into a jewellery or cufflinks box, as the red fitting for the razor is removable.
Box weight: 163g (without the razor).
Size (outside): L 9.2cm x W 5.6cm x H 4.4cm.
Size (inside): L 8.2cm x W 4.3cm x D 2.5cm + 1.3cm lid.
The interior is fitted for a shaving razor, which is included as a complement to the box. The razor is marked "Gilto Brevete SGDG" and is in good condition, although there are a couple of very slight, stable cracks on the handle.
Gilto razor size: 27mm x 41mm x 82mm.
Razor weight: 50g.
